Naturaleza-s

Perhaps they are the flowers, the plants, the animals ... the nature as a whole, that make me observe more closely the things and the beings that surround me. Perhaps also for this reason a great part of my photographic work is based on the nature I began to work with flowers, starting from the desire to recreate an herbarium of the plants that I was introducing in my small garden located in the north mountain range of Madrid.  I had always been fascinated by the realism of the botanical illustrations of the 17th and 18th centuries, but on the other hand, I wanted to reproduce that certain ambiguity and simplicity of the first copies of plants portrayed by the pioneering photographers of the nineteenth century,  By testing various photographic methods with mixed techniques, I discovered in the scanner my solution  I started scanning flowers and plants a few other droughts at the time of their maximum splendor ... I was gathering images of all kinds of vegetables that I found, or collected with mime ... and I began to compose mixing images ... and there was an image of images where they intermingle petals , stamens, dry branches, flowers, fruits, leaves ... blurs that border the limits of the sharpness that the eye looks for, colors in the end of being invented, border textures of nuances where they melt the intimate feelings of a stage of my life ... The resulting image was for me an idealized and imagined flower, which brings together the symbolism of the two natures; life and death. For me, it represents that ephemeral and beautiful nature that has nature and life. The Nature-s series consists of 17 images
